First Ever Bible Katcha Rollout Training — Despite a WAR

In a historic milestone for the Katcha people of Sudan, the first-ever Bible Katcha rollout training has taken place — even as war rages around them. This is a testament to the courage and faithfulness of our local partners.

Katcha Bible Rollout Training Classroom

A Historic First

For the first time in the history of the Katcha language, Scripture portions have been prepared and are being rolled out to communities. The training equipped local church leaders to effectively use and distribute these precious resources to their congregations.

Despite a War

The civil war in Sudan has created unimaginable hardship and danger. Yet our partners pressed forward with the rollout training, recognizing that the Katcha people need God’s Word now more than ever. The training was held in a secure location, with participants traveling through dangerous territory to attend.

Equipping Local Leaders

The training focused on teaching local church leaders how to use the translated Scripture portions in their communities. This includes reading groups, listening sessions (for the audio versions), and methods for integrating the Katcha Scriptures into worship and daily life.

Despite war, displacement, and danger, the Katcha people are receiving God’s Word in their own heart language for the very first time. This is what faithfulness looks like.

Your prayers and support have made this historic moment possible. We ask for your continued prayers for peace in Sudan and for the Katcha Bible translation to be completed.

To God be the glory!
